WHEN YOU NEED STRENGTH 2

May 2, 2024

Topic : Prayer for Strength

Judges 16:28 “And Samson called unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.” (KJV)

It often goes without saying that when men are not wise, they are blind to their own mistakes. A man can judge everything but yet a few can really evaluate their own lives. It's for this same reason that we see most people sink in habits, sink in life, without realising they sunk long before those events. One of such men was Samson; he always assumed he will have his power, until the day his sight was taken; when his eyes were removed.

The verse shows us the prayer Samson made when he finally came to himself to realise he could excute judgement upon the enemies of Israel. We learn not to only pray when all hope is out, but to understand we need God desperately to keep our sight.

A man’s sight is kept by prayer before his God.

Therefore, its always better to remain in a place of prayer long before problems come. Create a tabernacle of prayer in your heart. Keep your oil burning.
