THE MAKING OF KINGS I

March 20, 2024

Topic : Preparing Heirs: Servants vs Sons 1
Genesis 15:2 “And Abram said, Lord GOD, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?” (KJV)

One of greatest conundrums of life is the concept of succession and raising successors. Today, I want to take you deeper on the issue of building kings. This will help you know how to define people in your life and to give attention to the right people. Many are disappointed in the wrong people because they did not discern them.

The verse shows us a man, Abraham, who had no biological children and had prepared a servant born in his household to be his heir. Like many people, they have defined their own circles of friends or workmates of men that should be servants and not heirs. But God tells him that Eleazer shall not be his heir but one that will come forth from his bowels.

An heir can never be a servant but a son.

The reason why Moses could not be perfected in righteousness was because he was faithful in the house of God as a servant; but Christ was faithful as a son. That’s why the new covenant in Christ is far superior to the old covenant brought through Moses. When building successors, we are looking for sons and not servants.

Prophetic Declarations.

Hallelujah. Amen
