Topic : Reaching Out

Luke 10:1 “After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.” (KJV)

Most people think evangelism is standing by the road and speaking in the air to by passers-by. Whilst that can convict a man, it's not in itself the true essence of evangelism. The true evangelism is sharing the gospel, and preparing a city for the word of God. By reaching out in communities, helping the needy, praying with those that need prayer.

The scripture shows us that, every city where Jesus went he set men whose role was to go ahead of his face in every city. By this, he set the pattern of ministry. Ministry is not built on prayer alone but on intentional outreach.

True impact in ministry begins with a solid understanding of outreach.

God has not called us for the four walls of church, to sit and warm a chair every service. But he has called us to reach out both to the lost and also to those who are hungry for the gospel.
