HE THAT PUTS ON HIS ARMOR

Topic : How To Build

1 Kings 20:11 “And the king of Israel answered and said, Tell him, Let not him that girdeth on his harness boast himself as he that putteth it off.” (KJV)

When I first read this verse, I only related it to men who were going to war and how that a person should not boast before the war as one who is coming out of war. Of which this same view point is important but God recently began to open this verse to me in a special way concerning preparation.

When you are preparing, you ought not to take it as easy as one that already conquered. Consider a man who is still renting taking it easy as though he has built his own home. There’s a certain seriousness that is required in a man who is in preparation.

Men ought to give their best in the days of their building.

Every dream is formed in its infancy stages. What manner of commitment you accord it is the reward that vision returns to you. Take seriously the days of your preparation.
