A DOOR OF UTTERANCE

Topic: How Territories Are Opened 1

Colossians 4:3 “Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:” (KJV)

In the ministry of the word, there are doors that govern how individuals and ministries take territories. This is why we tell people whether they be politicians or preachers that they must posses this knowledge before they seek to influence these territories. There are wisdoms that rule how a man can gain influence over places and people. People do not just take cities by luck, there are no chances when it comes to influence.

Paul shows us the secret in the verse, he asks the church to pray for them that a door of utterance be opened unto them. This is powerful. Meaning that one can be in a territory but the doors of utterance are closed. Utterance is a door, you can speak but never have utterance. Words do not necessarily constitute utterance.

A word can only open territories when it is spoken as it ought to be spoken.

So we learn that for a word to become a door of utterance which in turn subdues a territory; it must be spoken as it ought to be. Therefore, the best prayer a true man of influence should pray, is to ask for the doors of utterance. Whether it’s for a city or to the hearts of men. You can never take a territory whose door of utterance you have not found.

Hallelujah. Amen
